Halloween day we spent just hanging out in our jammies and pumpkin carving~ some people took to this better than others ;o) Brenny is my sensory-senstive child (yes, he's mine! lol)~touching slimy things just doesn't appeal to him~ but he was a trooper and at least tried! He had much more fun with the drawing part :o)
It's always better when Daddy helps :o)
Zachy, of course, had no problem digging right in~ and he took his duties very seriously :o) He kept pulling pumpkin guts out and holding them out to us as he said "Who's hungwy?" Stinker lol
(note the pumpkin all over his chin :o) )
Gunnar working hard! He, of course, outshone us in every way LOL He's amazing!
Our masterpieces! (Gunnar didn't finish his till later~ still have to get a picture of it! I'll add that later) Daddy and Brenny did the one on the left~ the classic jack on the right is ala mommy and Zachy :o) And yes, we are very talented and very original *cough*
Then it was time to hit the road and indugle in the ultimate entitlement program~ Trick or Treating! Here's Brennan as Toa Lewa (the Toa of Air) (Thanks to our awesome teenager for making these costumes! He did an awesome job!)
And Zachy as Toa Tahu (the Toa of Fire)
And the Costume Master himself~ as Toa Kopaka (the Toa of Ice)
My apologies to those who have no idear what a Bionicle is~ our boys loooove them (they're Lego robot type thingys that you can build~ and the pieces seem to really really like hiding under couches. The pointy ones seem to enjoy hearing me scream when I step on them~ amazing how they always seem to know just where I'm going to step.)
Twick or Tweeeeeaaaaat! Sank you!
I really need to get a photoblog or something~ blogger makes the pictures look terrible) Anyway, the weather was PERFECT! We didn't even need our jackets! A little bit cloudy over a spooky moon~ not a drop of rain *yay!* After almost 2 hours of walking we made it home with loads of candy :o) My Halloween-loving troupe had a great day. Now...on to Thanksgiving! *grabs clock and wrestles with it* S L O W D O W N, please!

Nice costumes Gunnar! You would be proud of some of the masks/costumes the kids have been creating around here. They've learned that from you :0) They don't quite have your skill yet, but getting more creative all the time!
